Red Foundry was founded by technology veterans who have been building successful startups as a team for over a decade. We must be doing something right, because in all these years we haven’t killed each other, and we’re doing it again.
Steve OlechowskiCEO |
Steve is a serial entrepreneur who has had a part in co-founding startups such as spyonit.com (sold to 724 Solutions in 2001) and FeedBurner.com (sold to Google in 2007) where he held the title of COO, but wore many hats including leading up global business development, corporate development, as well as contributing to engineering whenever possible. While at Google, he was in charge of integrating FeedBurner into the Google’s myriad ad products such as AdSense, AdWords, Google Display Network, DoubleClick for Publishers, and Google AdManager. Later, he took on leading the strategy for Google’s HTML5 Mobile ad strategy and implementation, combining DoubleClick Mobile, AdMob, and Google AdSense Mobile Display products into an integrated display solution for mobile publishers and advertisers. His biggest accomplishment while at Google, however, was submitting his first change set to the AdSense codebase which for a very tense ten minutes broke the build for all AdSense and AdWords products. After his stint at Google, Steve took some time to do some investing and advising in startups such as ThingLabs (sold to AOL), Summify, and Groovebug, but his penchant for buying gadgets and guitars led him back here. Steve comes to Red Foundry as its 5th guitarist, which now makes the company one louder than your average Southern Fried Rock band. He can also be found skiing or playing soccer if you know where to look.
